Our next round of endorsements

We’re excited to announce our endorsement in 15 district council races for the upcoming elections in Nashville. We chose these Metro Council candidates because they’ve pledged to be champions for immigrant families -- and because immigrant voters and their allies can make the difference in these races. Read our full release on these endorsements.

In this historic moment, the role of cities in protecting and investing in immigrant communities is so important. The August 1st election is the first major Metro election in the Trump era and it’s a chance for us to elect a council that will stand up for immigrant families.

These fifteen candidates join the six candidates we endorsed for At-Large Council Members and Vice Mayor earlier in June. Check out our full slate of endorsed candidates here.

We’re so proud of the historic number of first and second generation immigrant candidates on the ballot this year. We’re so excited to support Fabian Bedne (At-Large), Mina JohnsonSandra Sepulveda, and Zulfat Suara (At-Large). Together we can elect a council that not only better reflects our values, but our community.

Will you help us elect a pro-immigrant majority to the Nashville council? Make a donation today to help us knock on more doors and talk to more voters before August 1st.

Tomorrow is the deadline to register to vote for the August 1st election. If you’re eligible, make sure you register to vote in these important elections!
